First, get two vertical slits cut about an inch using a hacksaw. Make cut on the drain body’s edge, do not get the shower pan cut. Get two slits which are horizontal on the drain flange about an inch apart. Next, get a screwdriver (the flat type) slide under the cut area. Get the screwdriver pressed upward and then get the cut section pried. Get the old shower drain pulled in order to get it removed from the drain pan. Then get the liquid soap’s thin coat applied inside the O-ring of the new drain. Now that you have done the steps above, get the silicone coating applied evenly at the underside of the new drain’s flange as well as around the drain hole’s inside.
After that, the drain must be next inserted to the shower pan. Get it securely installed there and then tightened with screws. You can use screwdriver for this step. Get the cover of the drain on the new drain and then get it tightened using screws. If you think you will not make it by yourself, ask a help from your relatives or friends.
