Bored with your pure white kitchen or solid color? Or, kitchen looks becomes too old coz of cabinet paint? Better you makeover it a little. If the core problem is cabinet, try to make it new by painting it, rather than buy new because it will save money. Repaint kitchen cabinets doesn’t necessarily mean to replace gloomy cabinet or change the old style. You can clean up all and do that on a short time, if you have prepared, of course.
To repaint kitchen cabinets, you should consider what style will you apply, is that same as kitchen style or different. Then, size up the jobby cleaning the cabinet first. Fix the broken parts, fill the holes. Check the materials because the paint depends on the material. Wooden cabinet paint is different from plastic, so do the stainless steel too. Sand and tack the boxes to get the great dust surface. After sure, choose the paint colors. If your kitchen dark or solid, a fresh coat paint can toward transforming the space. Use brush paint to paint and use spray paint for less costly, messy, and smooth finish.Prime the cabinets with basic color in slow drying and sand it. After that, paint the finish color. Better you use brush combination with spray to get perfect result. Then, wait till all done and dry. Really simple way, isn’t it?
But, if when you paint the door, hardware, and drawers are being separated, you should installed them again when it dried. Remember, the paint you choose is not only same look as both inside and outside cabinet. It can be different to make fresh look, perhaps black to the outside, white inside. Or, combination color, can be solid or with pattern color. I think colorful cabinet is okay, perhaps both side in same color, front and inside in different. It also can be colorful inside cabinet, or outside. In one side is dark green, one side is light green, one side front is lime green, and the last is yellow-green. Looks, so unique like rainbow, isn’t it?
